Disney’s Animal Kingdom is launching a new tour affectionately known as “Caring for Giants.”
With the Florida-based Ringling Brothers ceasing the use of elephants in their shows over the concern for the animals and with the bad press Sea World has gotten over the confinement of their whales, we love that Disney is so confident in its ethical treatment of its animals that they are offering this tour.
What we know about Caring for Giants
The tour is slated to last about an hour and will give visitors an inside look (or backstage look) at the accomodations for the African elephants and a presentation by the caretakers. Best yet, you will hear from African cultural representatives about all that Disney is doing in the effort of conservation of the wild African elephants in their homeland of Africa.
When Caring for Giants begin
Tours begin March 12, 2017, and reservations are now being booked now. The tour is $30 for guests over 4 years old and will be offered throughout the day.
Passholders and DVC Members will receive a 15% discount. To book the new tour call 407-WDW-TOUR.
