In the months leading up to our first ever trip to Walt Disney World, my kids would ask me on (at least) a weekly basis to measure them.
What was the curiosity with their growth all of a sudden? Obviously, there was an ulterior motive. They wanted to know if they would be able to ride the “big” rides, like Splash Mountain and Space Mountain. And since then, they have added even more to the Disney Parks, like Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom and Slinky Dog Dash in Toy Story Land. And it would be blasphemy in our house to forget about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and its thrills, Smuggler’s Run and Rise of the Resistance.
After each measurement, I would pull out my phone and scroll to find out what rides my kids could ride. It tended to be a bit cumbersome and I couldn’t keep it all straight bouncing around from park to park. So, I had a brainspark!
