The Elf on the Shelf is a great time, but there is always a sense of relief (at least from the people that I know) when the little trouble maker leaves town.
No matter if your Elf had to quarantine for 14 days when he or she arrived, thanks 2020, or if it was full steam ahead from the moment that the Elf arrived, it can be a lot of work! Plus don’t even get me started on the moment of realization just after you’ve snuggled into your bed, that you have to get up and move the dang Elf.
How your Elf says goodbye.
There are a wide variety of ways that your Elf can leave town, in my house it has just been assumed that Santa takes the Elf with him on his sleigh after he drops off presents.
Each year, my youngest and only Elf believer left, comments that he wishes that his Elf, Layla had said goodbye.
Which is where the Elf on the Shelf Goodbye Letter comes in. We’ve made it easy for you. Simply download and print the PDF below and fill in your child’s name and sign your elf’s name and your Elf has officially said his or her goodbyes.
With that magical letter, you can pack up your magical elf friend and send him packing back to the North Pole, until next year. In all seriousness, you might want to write yourself a reminder to put in your phone so that you don’t frantically search for his secret hiding place.
