In our home, we try very hard to ensure that our kids are keeping the reason for the Christmas season in mind. It is so very easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season. It especially seems that the wants grow louder as more presents find their way under the tree.

So as I was looking through our books about Christmas, I wanted to pass along some of our favorites with all of you!
The Pine Tree Parable by Liz Curtis Higgs
This book is one of my favorites, hands down. Every time I read it I get choked up. The story is so very special.
Santa’s Favorite Story
Santa’s Favorite story incorporates Santa, telling the story of Jesus’ birth. It is such a sweet story.
This book was a favorite in my home when my guys were little. The illustrations are so beautifully done!
My kids loved reading about the camel that brought gifts to Baby Jesus that first Christmas! The Christmas Story was told in such a unique way in this book!
Unwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas
This book is a daily reading that tells the story of Christmas. It is so well written, that after I have read and shared with my children, I go back and have another read for myself.
This story draws a correlation between Jesus and explains the symbolism of the candy cane. It is beautifully explained!
This story shares the prayers of a crippled lamb and how they are answered. It is a heartwarming story that your whole family will love.
This fun book shares the Christmas story from the perspective of the animals who were in the barn.
Did your favorite book make the list? What book do you think should be on there?
