We’ve made no secret of the fact that we enjoy staying near Disney but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the parks. Did you know that there is a cluster of hotels on Disney property but not owned and operated by Disney?
Our reasoning for staying a bit away from all of the action has to do with the fact that my husband is hard enough to get to agree to visit Walt Disney World, it just isn’t his thing. But he loves our kids, so he begrudgingly goes, just don’t ask him to wear mouse ears.
So, for our family, it works out to be a better fit to stay very near the parks but not in the parks. The separation seems to do everyone good, and it tends to be a bit easier on the wallet as well.
The summer of 2017 is a hot time to be headed to Disney and the Disney Springs area hotels, are helping make a trip a reality.
The Holiday Inn-Disney Springs Area offers a family friendly place to stay that isn’t going to eat into the souvenir budget.
Not to mention the facts that you are just mere steps from Disney Springs, so should you decide to venture out to grab a cupcake from the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM.
We think that your kids will love the pool so much that you might have trouble getting them out of it to go into the parks!
Rooms start at $95 a night AND you can see the fireworks from the parks nearby, all from the comfort of your pjs, just be sure to sure to ask for a resort view room!
Although the price is great, the other amenities make it even more appealing for a family traveling with kids.
Just a few of them include:
- Kids 12 and under eat free at the on-site Palm Breezes Restaurant.
- Complimentary Shuttle to and from the Disney Parks (arriving every 30 minutes)
- On-Site Disney Gift Shop
- Free WiFi
So, tell us, when you think about staying at Disney do you feel like you HAVE to stay in the middle of the action or are you ok with removing yourself from just a little bit? We think that as long as the transportation to the parks is reliable, then it is worth to take a breather for a bit.
