Holiday Photos with Portrait Innovations

The time had come for my family to take Christmas photos for several reasons. First, I love having family photos that are themed for the season. Secondly, it had literally been since 2012 since we last had photos made.

So, after work and school one afternoon, off we went to Portrait Innovations.

Can I be transparent here? We are friends, right?

From the fighting at home from my oldest about having to wear a sweater (his ideal uniform consists of running shorts and a shirt he got from a race, any race) to my youngest hitting my oldest in the face about a block from Portrait Innovations. I was ready to throw in the towel before we even arrived.

Y’all, I had resigned myself to accepting photos that were mediocre at best, given the situation that had transpired. When the words “we are all going to smile and be happy in these pictures or else” are uttered before getting out of the car, the results are bound to be great, right?

From the moment we walked through the doors of the studio I knew that we had a chance at greatness. The young man who was taking our photos immediately captured my children’s attention and smiles all while making jokes with them.

Then, in what seems like just mere minutes later, he announced that he had gotten some good shots and it was time to make some decisions about the pictures we liked the best.

I couldn’t believe it! The family who had argued with each other and came in for the session with less than stellar attitudes were getting along and managed some genuine smiles.

Ease in picking photos and having them printed.

Next, we gathered around the computer screen and took a look at the photos that were captured.

I was thrilled with the results! Not only were some great shots taken. The photographer even got my oldest to smile in such a way that it wasn’t his weird forced smile that we see so much!

Here’s what I like the best about the Portrait Innovation model. The poses that you choose, are printed right in the store, even Christmas cards. For me, planning one more trip to pick up something, even something I am excited about like Christmas cards it difficult.

So, not only did our sour moods improve with our trip to Portrait Innovations but I was able to leave that night with photos that I love and are sure to please family members this holiday season as well!
