I discovered my love for smoothie bowls last year, when I stumbled upon the Acai Berry Smoothie Bowl. The love only grew when I tasted what was quite possibly the best smoothie bowl in all of the land on a trip to Maui.
I mention my background here and there on this site, but I have a culinary arts degree, and for the most part I love cooking. When you insert kids into the equation or at least my kids, picky eaters make cooking a little less enjoyable.
I have been working on a copycat version of the smoothie bowl and I think that I have finally found a good recipe.
Here’s the thing about a smoothie bowl, in my very humble opinion the toppings that you put on top of the bowl. I love to put hemp seed, honey, almond butter, oats and bee pollen on top of my smoothie bowls. What do you like to put on top of yours?
