Colonial Williamsburg – This year you and your family can celebrate Independence Day on July 3rd. The event starts at 9am! From their website: “enjoy a salute to the 13 original states, featuring music performed by the Fifes and Drums, flags of each state, the firing of muskets and cannon. The day concludes with fireworks visible from both Market Square and Palace Green.”
Washington, DC – This fireworks show is a huge event, put on by the National Parks Service. The show illuminates the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. The show begins at 9:10 pm but it is important to get there early enough to grab a good seat!
Boston, Massachusetts – In Boston, they love to celebrate the 4th of July. The festivities begin on Friday July 3rd and end with a fireworks display! The fireworks are set to begin at 10pm on Saturday night.
St. Augustine, Florida – This fireworks display is one of the largest on the east coast and has been happening for decades. At 6pm The All Star Orchestra (a local band) will play and the fireworks will begin at 9:30.
New York City – Macy’s 4th of July celebration is one of the biggest celebrations in the US. With 25 minutes of fireworks, you can see the fireworks from any spot in Manhattan, Queens & Brooklyn where you have a clear view of the sky.
Addison, Texas – On July 3rd bring your family to Addison, Texas beginning at 4pm. There will be bands and an airshow, before the fireworks show at 9:35.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – This festival spans 8 days, ending with a fireworks show on July 4th. The event is also known as the largest free concert in America.
St. Louis, Illinois – The fun begins on July 2nd and ends on July 4th with a fireworks show starting at 10pm. St. Louis says their event is America’s Largest birthday party!
Nashville, Tennessee – This celebration begins on July 3rd with live music starting at 4. On July 4th starting at noon there is lots of fun to be had with your family! The day ends with fireworks at 9:30 pm.
Lake Tahoe, California- This show has been rated one of the top 5 shows in our nation! The fireworks begin at 9:45pm.

21 years ago we were at Williamsburg for the fireworks and since then we haven't seen anything to compare. I bet they have just gotten better and better!
