It is no secret that there is an abundance of family-friendly events that take place during December here in Louisville, Kentucky!
Each year, Louisville embraces the Lights Under Louisville Event that takes place yearly, dazzling Christmas lovers and even some Grinches who might have been pulled along for the ride!
So, if you’re looking for a great holiday light display in Louisville, chances are the Louisville Mega Cavern has made it to your radar or might even be at the top of your Holiday Bucket list with your family.
This year, the Louisville Mega Cavern has upped the ante in regards to their traditional Lights Under Louisville. They’ve added a “Breakfast with Santa” as well as the ability for attendees to purchase a “Christmas Priority Pass.”

For reference, the cost of the VIP Pass that allows for the line into the Mega Cavern to be skipped is $89.99 per standard vehicle (not per person)
General admission tickets are $42.99 for a standard vehicle.
Christmas Express
Don’t have time for the night time show? Or have little ones who need to be in bed? Try out the all new Christmas Express this year!
The Christmas Express is a thirty minute day-time drive through the light show in an open top trailer. This is followed up with a magical journey to our Winter Wonderland.

The Louisville Mega Cavern has been advertising that this year there are more lights to be seen during this season. This year the Lights Under Louisville drive boasts 6.5 million lights, for those of you keeping track that is 1/2 million more than last year. In addition there are 40 themed displays, 10 mapping projections, over 900 lit characters and 200 foot light tunnel and 2 laser sections!
Tickets for the experiences listed can be purchased on Louisville Mega Cavern’s website. The event runs from November 10th until January 1st. Hours: Daily: 9:30am-10:00pm
